Hainan’s take on Pangkor Laksa which we present to you is a bold and aromatic dish that brings out the best of Hainan and Malaysian flavors. This laksa which is inspired by the Pangkor Island coastlines includes a rich coconut based broth which we have infused with a variety of fresh herbs, lemongrass, galangal and a little of tamarind which together give it a smooth creamy and tangy taste.
Thick rice noodles are in a very flavorful broth base, which is then served with a mixed it up array of fresh veggies, tofu puffs, and soft mock sea food or vegetables which is a great plant based option. We also add some chopped herbs, sliced chilies and finish it off with a squeeze of lime which really brightens it all up.
